- built benson in 68,flew about 40 hrs. had 5 engine outs with a mac. rolled on the fifth engine out, landed in a newly plowed field . there was nowhere else to go . didn't get hurt . rebuilt her then sold the mac. got married and the gyro has been hanging in the barn till last summer. she was covered but that didn't help much.decided to build a new one ,clt ,rotax ,tail feathers .etc.
