Hello, My name is Jackie Fagan and was reading some old posts and came across one where you were telling of SuperMac conversion to 90 hp Mac. Can you tell me who did the conversion and what is involved? I know the crancase is milled down, center port is plugged, some sort of reed valve system to isolate crossflow, and small line to lube center bearing. I will soon be building a modified Bensen w/ soft landing gear and horizontal stabilizer on rudder. Can you steer me in the right direction, please? Please use PM

    Thank's, jcopter

    Hey Marion,
Well I got another 2.5 hours of practice on the runway on Saturday..... I've got a problem with balancing on the mains, when the front wheel lifts off the ground it comes up to the left (with NO wind at all) and I'm thinking I've just got the stick to far to the left (even though I've focused on keeping it centered ) and that is why its coming up to the left...... once I get this figured out and stable I'll take it a little further until it lifts off..... but I've destroyed one gyro and don't want to do that again, so I'm taking it easy until it feels right. If I'm not flying but the time of the flyin I'll not be bringing it out, I'll just bring my car instead.
    See ya next month.....

    Hi Marion,
How are your doing? Donna and I are well up here in Woodland. My Bonanza is back in Arkansas. I took it back for an autopilot install and of course we had a glitch with the stec controller. I flew back home on Southwest pending the repair. It turned out to be a good decision as the 10 days promised has turned into 25-so far ha ha. Give me an update on you,
    Blessed wishes

    Miss Marion,
THE LAZY CRAZY DAYS OF SUMMER...
THE GRASS IS LUSH, THE LEAVES ARE IN THEIR PRIME, THE
FLOWERS ARE ALL PLANTED AND THE TOMATO PLANTS ARE PUSHING
SKYWARD. THE NIGHTS ARE FINE BUT THE MIDDAY’S ARE PUTTING A
DAMPER ON HARD WORK. THE LAZY, CRAZY DAYS OF SUMMER HAVE
COME. AND YES, THE GRASS IS LIKE THE PLUSHEST CARPET. [Not at the El Mirage dry lake! AND BIRDS ARE SINGING EVERYWHERE.

HAVING THE PLEASURE OF THE FOUR SEASONS IS ONE OF THE JOYS
OF LIFE. SPRING IS RENEWAL, SUMMER IS THE GROWING. FALL IS SO COLORFUL, WINTER IS LONELY AND COLD.

—Summer is special for us to enjoy
especially for every little girl and boy
—11 weeks or so no school till then
riding bikes all day with a good friend…
    ————————————————————–
—Get the chores done early before its hot
then do anything we want have fun alot
—might even find a creek for a swim
or anything else exciting to our whim…

    Biography
I retired from gyro flight instructing a few years back.
I'm having my Bensen brought up to top shape and I will be flying again soon.
Come fly with us at the annual Ken Brock Freedom Fly-in, Sept. 26-27-28, 2008, on the dry lake at El Mirage, Ca.
    ...................................
Here is an update : My gyro friends in Chapter 1 went through my Bensen gyro that had not flown for nearly 13 years and got it airworthy so that I could fly again. I am happy to say that in June of 2008, I made my first gyro flight after nearly 13 years of retirement. The flight was wonderful . I am so happy to be flying again. It's a dream come true, thanks to my gyro flying buddies, Ed Nielesky, Teddy Udala, Bobby Bettis, Peter Printice and Dave Bacon. I flew at our Ken Brock Freedom fly-in last Sept. and
I look forward to flying at our KBFF the last weekend of Sept. 2009.
    Come fly with me.
