Good day. I just googled an old bird of mine... N122LH. I am the 2nd owner. I knew the original builder well. It was stored in his machine shop for a few years. He began training, but never completed it. I am the one who purchased the Boyer stab. I owned her for about a year, wanted to get her flying and get training. Unfortunately, not many folks in Lynchburg VA could support me. I reluctantly sold her for much less than I saw for the current sale price. My desire is now a Mosquito or Helicycle. I believe that there are many more options for training and support.
By the way, I am a licensed PVT pilot in SEL and glider. Glider check ride was on my 16th and SEL was on my 17th. 53 now. I welcome any questions that you may have. I'll give you as accurate information as I can.
I'd like to accept your request as a friend, or what ever, but when I click on accept nothing happens. No matter if you have any questions and if I can help it doesn't matter if we're officially "friends" or not I'll always try to answer.
Your discussion with Mike 484 is interesting, I always found Butt's posts confusing, the Mike 484 story comforts me in the opinion I was forming.
You asked who the CFI was that was trining me when we rolled over my RAF.
He came out to our hangar one day and asked me if I wanted to go flying and get some training in my RAF. We took off and landed about 3 times, then he asked to take the controls, we did another take off and landing, then I took it back and did another go around. When we landed we almost came to a stop but the blades went forward too soon and pulled us over. He walked away and has never done anything to make it right. I am only a student, he is a CFI, I feel that the CFI has a responsibilty to his student to assure the student and machine are safe, I never asked for anything and have rebuilt he machine, but I think he should have done something.
He advertises that he trains and test flys in many machines that he actually knows nothing or very little about, I think he is a very dagerous CFI as he does not admit to what he doesn't know but rather trys to BS his way through.
