What paint do you use to paint your gyro Frame?

Wow , nobody has answered your question, or poll. I think it may be a problem with how you asked. I think that in a lot of gyros you would use all three meathods
Powder coat: on metal parts, such as the frame.
Auto paint on large area like the rudder, hs, pod, and any fiberglass parts.
Spray can: probably used on the inside of pods and areas not normally visible.

I have been using Dupont Acrylic Enamel. I posted on AAI SparrowHawk. I have also used a metalflake that I had sprayed on. Bad idea. Hard to work with.

Maybe if I stopped crash'n it I'll paint it,the same colour as the dirt.

Sears (Craftsman) now has a powder coating system for home use. I saw it in this months Popular Science (Mechanics?) issue. One drawback, to complete the process you have to bake it in your kitchen oven. I don't think a keel tube will fit. :confused:

do you have to remove the old paint before doing powdercoat (because of the heat?)
i will probably powdercoat my frame and spray the rudder and instrument pod.

yes you have to remove the old paint i used glass bead.this is mine going back together and its powder coated the blue and the black.
