I'm being denied access to some topics, even though I'm logged in and there are replies from others in the threads. Anyone else having this problem? Seems to mostly be the threads about the T-shirts.......which brings up a point. Can't someone (besides me :o ) come up with a T-shirt design that doesn't claim it takes huge balls to fly a gyro or showing a wrecked one? Maybe something that actually shows us in a good light rather than being daredevils with more balls than judgment? Oh, and one with a pocket. Where do you think us older farts keep our reading glasses? Them's my 2 cents.

The information on the home page is pulled from the "News" thread. I locked the News thread so that every reply would not show up as the top article on the home page. I'm looking at a couple different options.

I just made a couple changes. You are now able to reply to topics in the news thread.

Gotta put my 2 cents worth in here and say that I agree with Ken, re: the picture
on the Tshirt. How about that great picture of Ken Wallis flying Little Nellie
that someone posted here on the forum recently? I'd buy a shirt with that
pic on it in a heartbeat!

Hi,
Does anyone have a great picture of the autogiro taking off from the White House? I also believe there is a shot by the Statue of Liberty.

The problem with any picture is copyright. To avoid any problems, we're better off using a picture that one of us has taken at a fly-in etc.. I welcome any ideas for the next shirt design. If you have pictures, post them in the gallery:

Ken, you're supposed to get one of those neck cords which attach to the front of your glasses on each side, like the elderly librarians wear.
Laugh all you want, but if you stick your reading glasses loosely in your pocket, you might as well turn to your prop and say, "Batter up!" When was the last time you heard about an elderly librarian losing her glasses to a propellor?
Thought so.

Hmmm. Only thing I lost to the open door that was in my shirt pocket was a Lotto ticket. Luckily no one won the big one that night.

I had taken a couple of people for a trial flight. One had paid me a check and the other a $50 note. I placed these in my top pocket along with mu notepad and pen.
The next flight was with an eighty year old lady who was helping at the airshow.
As we climbed out a gust popped in through the door openings and something blew out of my pocket and went past my passenger and out her door.
I thought to myself "what have I lost?"
Anyway when we got back,SURE ENOUGH, it was the $50 note that had departed. I was a bit "peeved" that I had been so silly!!!!!
Half an hour later the lady came across and handed me a $50 note. She said that her friends were watching and saw something fly out the door, and went to see what it was.
I was greatly surprised, and could not believe my luck and their honesty.
Truth can sometimes be stranger than fiction.
Aussie Paul. :D
