A while back there was a thread on using a throat mic for better radio communications with our noisy gyro's.

I found these at http://www.sportsmansguide.com/cb/cb.asp?a=275493&pn=4
Anyone have any idea if these would work or not???????

Price seems pretty good.

I was hoping for 5 bucks, someone who's a little better with electronics, would try them first. Then let us all know..........

I have tried one but it an Icom type and it did not have a strap to hold it on the neck in place.
We found that if it was in the correct spot, it worked really well and there was absolutely no noise. However, if it was a little off the correct spot, it sounded like the person talking was drunk or intoxicated.

I reckon this throat mike looks okay and I would give it a try, find the sweet spot on your neck first and away you go !!!.
