If you mean the arm type manual prerotor. Lots of people herer have experience. ;)

Star Bee gyro's sells a pull type manual prerotor for their Gyro Bee which can be used on other gyro's.

Hi,Chuck. Yes I ment Star Bee type.I tried to contact them by e-mail. Got no respond. Our big ,old chapter in Marysville,CA doesn't exist anymore. So,nobody to help in prerotating. And if there is somebody on a long final I'll be a really sitting duck.
Georgi.
P.S. Also I need an advice about over the shoulder engine (Rotax503) start.

Hi,Guys
Sometime ago I ordered StarBee Gizmo Recoil Prerotator. And I want to share with you my (ordering) experience. So, it will save from grief Dana Linn (the StarBee owner) and you (who will decide to order StarBee Gizmo Recoil Prerotator). My many troubles occured from my many assumptions.
I thought that it would be enough to tell what kind of gyro I have (ultralight Bandit) and everything will fall in right places.
Start with rotorhead offset.StarBee has 1". Bandit -3/4" (I didn't ask Dana and didn't tell him my offset dimension: just assumed).
Check the distance between offset hole on the pitch bar and torque bar holes before you start cutting rotor control rods (7.3" on StarBee).
Check the length of the pull cable (so you can reach the pull handle from your seat).
Check whether your rotor head will fit in the Gizmo (mine didn't).
So, now Dana is trying to help me to resolve all my problems, which would not be a surprise if I only ask a few question in advance.
P.S. Meanwhile I am working on how to install a bike pickup sensor into the Gizmo to read rotor RPMs. When I'll finish it I'll post the pictures on the Forum.
P.P.S. Completely forgot: The StarBee Gizmo Recoil Prerotator quality is excellent.
Georgi.

Perhaps.
But in Dana's defense:
When Dana says he has a prerotator for a "STARBEE gyrocopter" and a customer wants to buy one that is "designed for a "STARBEE gyrocopter" then assumptions are easily made.
To quote Georgi "(I didn't ask Dana and didn't tell him my offset dimension: just assumed)."

The same would naturally happen with a RAF.
If I call RAF and I want to purchase a "Magic Donut" what assumptions would you make?
Damn straight!

I am sure in the future Dana will spend much more time on the phone with a customer playing "Twenty Questions" to make sure his "STARBEE gyrocopter" prerotator is not being installed on an Apache attack helicopter.

Be patient with Dana. He is really busy balancing completing a hangar at his new home and left over business in Mess-o-chew-sets.
