Hi, I'm a writer of two published novels, Pirates of Pensacola (http://piratesofpensacola.com) and Gus Openshaw's Whale-Killing Journal (http://blubberybastard.com). My third involves a Huey. Anyone with combat experience or knowledge of Hueys in combat, please see my post in the General Discussion forum.

I'll have to pick that up. I really like pirate novels. Can't help you with the Huey though.

Gus,
If you can't find what you are looking for here, you might want to try the Professional Pilot's Rumor Network.
They have a category for Rotorheads:

Arrrrrrr!
Someone had to say that.
Fire away. Not a Huey pilot but got a million hours being hauled hither and yon in UH-1D and UH-1H. In fact, my "war book reading chair" is the pilot seat from a UH-1B that my unit was once asked to destroy (can't do that without snapping up a souvenir. Some rat bastard had already snaffled the gunsight, unfortunately).
cheers
