"A" is the correct answer. The forward speed of a rotorcraft is restricted primarily by (A) dissymmetry of lift. Reference FAA-8083-21, Chapter 3
As forward speed increases, the difference in the speeds of the advancing and retreating blades becomes greater. At a high forward speed, the slow airspeed of the retreating blade gives it such a high angle of attack that it stalls.

There are people who feel that if you spin the rotor faster a gyroplane will go faster. I read a paper that Cierva wrote about how to build a 200 mile per hour Autogiro. He did not imagine any challenges that could not be overcome.
