Now that I've upgraded the forum to vBulletin, there are some additional profile options available. I hope everyone will take the time to update their profile.

It is a requirement of the forum that your Real Name be available, and there is now a place for it!

It would also be great it people could provide any of the other information available. It makes it much easier to carry on a meaningful discussion if you know who you're talking to and a little bit about them.

Also, the Avatars (the little pictures by your name) were wiped out with the conversion. Fortunately this is the only problem that I am aware of. On the bright side, setting up your own avatar is easier than before. You simply need a picture 100x100 pixels or smaller. Go into your profile and upload the new avatar.

If you have problems or don't know how to resize pictures, just e-mail them to me and we'll get you fixed up.

One last thing, if you e-mail me, include your forum user name somewhere in the message, it makes it much easier to track down who you are.

Thanks

Thanks

Upload new avatar from where? Never mind, I found it under the Edit Options.

Todd,

I must admit that at first I thought I wasn't going to like the new format. However, with just a little bit of time with it, I really like it. You done good Todd, again. Thanks a lot for all that you do for us.

Chuck,

When I first set it up, I felt the same. There are some things I liked about the YaBB board. Unfortunately, they are no longer supporting it. vBulletin is a full blown commercial product that comes with tech support, plus we're using the "old" version of vBulletin right now. In a week I will do the upgrade to 3.0 which is even better. I'm pretty excited about it, the newer software has some great features, I'm pretty sure we'll like it.

Thanks for the kind words

Todd:

I appreciate what your doing for all of us. I'm having trouble learning and keeping up with this new change, I've already lost my Dirty Harry moniker.

Hi Todd,
I also think you are doing a hell of a job. My signature jpeg is not coming up in the newest format. Any advice? I believe I did the img (link to the jpeg web site) img thing. Thanks!!

Do you want me to start a threat on how to do avatars? I've got it down pat.

Dave,

I had to turn on a switch that allowed images in the signature. There also seem to be a problem getting the file to display from your AOL link. I copied the image file over to here and changed the link. It seems to be working now.

I appreciate the offer to do a tutorial on avatars, but I'll be upgrading to the newer version of vBulletin in a few days and it might be a little different.

Thanks
