You may fly in Class B and C airspace VFR, But not Class A. Paul gives the correct regulation number. SandyEggo? I could tell you a hair-raising story about flying inadvertently at night into IMC with a flight of six helicopters in close formation. Don't try it. You may not be so lucky. Poking in clouds is not wise or legal in most gyroplanes.

Good Ken, I trusted from your profile info that you knew better. Some of the students reading here don't. I like to make it clear to them so they don't walk away with the wrong ideas. For anyone wanting to fly in the clouds that is not instrument rated, just add me to your life insurance beneficiary list. Thanks Ken, I knew you knew, or something like that.
