I have several RAF pilots wanting to fly to Paxton this summer just as an informal RAF get together. I am just wondering if any RAF pilots here would be interested in making the trip to Paxton. It is 30 miles north of Champaign, Il. or 100 miles south of Chicago right off I-57.

There is a good eating place just down the road...

A very active skydiving club is based here..and they are always jumping

Several ultalights stationed here....

plus...if a date were set....any and all flying machines would be welcome to attend.

Just an idea...but right now it looks like 5-6 RAF pilots are interested.

How about doing a poker run or some other kind of activity with several airports as desitinations? I'd be willing to help with an activity here at my home airport in Rensselaer, IN (KRZL)

Craig: Three of the RAF's will be flying in frm Northern Illinois and Wisconsin. I originally just imagined a casual meeting and a nice little cookout or a run down to a restaurant. I imagine those guys flying that far would want to just relax before their return flight...at least I would. Thanks for the idea and the offer though. :)

I am not just limiting this to RAF's....but several seemed to all want to come to Paxton...so I just thought I would invite more RAF/s and include all other types of gyros and ultralights as well. We will have a good crowd as there are a bunch of ultralights within 50 miles that just love to go to fly-ins.
