A lot of people have sent emails to me, wondering what's going on with my gyro plans. So, I thought I'd just make a quick post here, just to let ya'll know what's going on.

No, I haven't given up flying/building. I've decided to take a couple years off. I've done this every once in awhile since I first started flying in 1972. So this is nothing unusual for me.

Right now, we are collecting, repairing, and playing Williams pinball machines. We have seven that we have restored and are in our gameroom. One is in the shop that is getting a cabinet repaint. It's the only one that is not a solid state machine.

We are also enjoying riding our Goldwing. Still have Jamie's old motorcycle, an '85 Honda V65 Magna, which is also a lot of fun to ride. May be selling it, though, since we both ride on the Wing.

I do not read this Forum very often, so if anyone wants to contact me, please use email, rv6dd@mindspring.com I will not get email sent to the thumpernator.com address.

Oh, one more thing. I have not heard from Norm in several months, and have no idea what's up with him or his site. Sad situation all around.

So, you guys keep building them right and fly safely. Like Arnold said, "I'll be back."

Hello Dave,

It's good to hear that you are well and still enjoying yourself. I sure would like to see a couple of pictures of your new machine.

Dave,

Hope you read this.

This new forum lacks your input, along with Chuck Beaty, Ken Janulwitz and other very experienced and knowledgable gyro folks. Please try to become active again, so we can continue to learn from your comments.

If you click on the "search new" button at the top and then skip over the "off topic" section like I do it helps eliminate a lot of stuff so reading the forum is not as overwelming (cluttered with unimportant chit chat).

Dave, Your Alive! Glad to hear from you. Hope all goes well with the pinball machines. Gotta love the 60's and 70's. Does yours take a shake without tilting? We stop at the arcades with the kid and play, I always tilt the darn things.

Hope the Family is good, tell them Hello.

Is Brian in College and handling it good?

Hope to see you in the near future!

Take Care, and Thanks for the update. We were starting to get worried. MJ :)
