Well my girlfriend got me the Mosquito Ultralight Helicopter Video, I must say that is one heck of a performer, GREAT JOB JOHN!!!!! The video is worth the money. Great flying shots and info on the airframe. I wish I had the money to buy one of these little beauties!!!!!!

I like it too. Still hesitant to shell out that much dough for so little machine, but it does seem to fly good and be well designed. A friend and I are both really thinking hard on building helicopters and he is all for the Helicycle, which I like as well, but the price to buy the kit and then finish it is about double what I would be willing to pay for what it does. Plus it would kill my gas card with the high fuel burn. If this heli was around 15 grand I would already have one.

Ron,
You are forever going to be the miser. :D Following your logic I would have my yard taken care of if I could get it for ten dollars a month. This is a stinking Helicopter not a lawn mower. I don't know what John charges, but I am sure it isn't enough. If you ever want to work long hours for very little pay and constanty have people try to cut your prices start building aircraft for a living. Just my my 3.5 cents.

If you and your buddy go together you could have a Mosquito or an XE for a lot less than 15 grand!

I received the Mosquito video today, and it is indeed impressive. Just the type of flying I'd like to do. And sure would be handy to encounter the ATV trespassing on our property and dog him all the way home.:p
Seriously, I'd like to hear from anyone that has personal experience with this machine, build, flying, whatever. The video was obviously taken during cold weather, what about performance during warm weather? I think it flew at Oshkosh, what was the weather like then? My altitude is not that high, 1200MSL or so, and I am in upstate NY, so I may be ok in normal summer weather.

the Helicycle sure doesn't give much chance for us heavy guys to own it. 220lbs max leaves me out.
