OK Oct gyro donut/bs get-together

This months meeting will be at Marty's hangar at Page airport, Saturday, Oct 8, from 9:30-noon.
Coffee and donuts provided.

We'll have my tractor gyro, Kelly's VW powered KB2, and Marty's RAF. This will be a good chance for folks to see 3 different types of gyros, and if the weather cooperates we'll probably be flying.

This week the wind was blowing 25-30 down the runway, and Kelly was out in his KB2 doing the helicopter thing; taking off and landing straight up, hovering just off the ground, cool stuff! He should have some video of it at the meeting.

As advertised, the October get-together was held at Marty Weaver's hangar at Page Airport near Yukon, OK.

Here are some pictures of gyros that were flown that morning. On the left is Marty Weaver with his RAF, in the middle at the back is Michael Guard with his own design tractor gyro, and on the right is Kelly Teague with his VW-powered KB (yes, it used to be Da Screwdriver).

The second picture is Michael getting ready to fly his gyro. It flies great!

It's nice to see some tractors getting airborne. I still haven't seen one fly in person but I think in the near future there'll be at least one at every fly-in.
