Here's the TRA Flyer they've sent out. Looks good, and I plan on being there all weekend getting my rotorcraft BFI rating (as a prelude to getting my CFI rating).

I live in north central Oklahoma. You guys have the closest gyro event that I know of. I'd like to be there, but have to save my gas for a trip to Searcy, AR to finish my training with Ron Menzie in a couple of weeks.

Maybe I'll be able to make it down there next year. Feel free to put me on your mailing list.

Does he provide a dual machine to train in and if so, is it available most of the time?

Ron has a SparrowHawk conversion. I've never heard anyone complain about it not being up and running for lessons. It is very well maintained. He also has a tandem Parson's trainer for transition to an open frame single-place machine.

I feel very good about training with Ron. He does a first-class job. I've read several comments here about people soloing in 10 hours. You aren't likely to do that with Ron. You don't move from one lesson to the next until you have completely mastered the subject matter. Most people solo in about 20 hours with Ron.
