Head set adapters

I'm looking to get either a Vertex or I com radio with the headset adapter to fit the single plug Comtronics helmet. I know someone with the I com set up and the headset adapter came with the PTT switch and single plug adapter. Does anyone know if the Vertex has the same set up. I'm afraid that the headset adapter has two plugs made for a headset. Is this something I have to specify or am I going to have to get another adapter to fit the helmet. Just trying to find the cheapest set up and not spend 150 dollars in adapter plugs.

I have a Vertex Pro V and Centronics Helmets.

The Vertex comes with a cable that adapts it's port to 2 plug standard.

I had comtronics make a cable to connect it to the intercom. My helmets have a single plug and plug into the intercom.

The radio does not need the Vertex to 2 plug standard cable in this configuration.
