Ok guys, I am looking for a prop for a Mac 72hp but for a tractor installation. If anyone has one or has the diam x pitch I would appreciate it so I can order one, if you know of a good manufacture for a tractor prop for the Mac I would appreciate that also.

Thanks

Well I have been trying TN props all week and no one seems to want to sell me a prop from there. I keep getting told to keep calling back. Even after sending emails no one even has the common desency to respond. I guess I will try buying a prop from someone else.

No they are there I have talked to the Office manager every day, and she is the one that keeps telling me a new time to call back, and when I do then she gives me another time to call back. I am guessing they are just tooooo busy to sell me a prop.

Dave, I have talked to a fellow in Cal name Skeet that has a mac on his airplane. He has one of my CDI kits on the same aircraft. He ordered a prop from Tenn prop for the airplane to there suggestions but found out it had to much pitch & shook his engine badly at idle. I think it he said it was a 50x42 tractor. He said he would call them back to complain about the problem with the prop. He said it was the only tractor prop they ever built for a mac! I think they might be a little shy of making another unless you make the pitch choice instead of them.
Just a thought!

Screw-In

I think the guy at Tenn Props is named Mike. I didn't have any trouble dealling with him.

However, the most pleasurable prop dealings I've had to date has been with Lonnie Prince of "Prince Props." He'll build anything and guarentees the work for your application!

Tennessee Props is the place to go. Tell them you want 52x26 for a VW with fan-end drive. This will be pitched for use on a Mac in tractor config.
Be sure they know it is to fit a Mac so that the bolt pattern is right.
The prop is high-quality and works very well on either 72 or 90 Macs.

Thanks guys, but this is a very old thread. I have a prop now from Tenn Props, just have yet to run it to check RPMs. I will be getting a CDI from you Rick
