I have several hours in my RAF now and am slowly working on my things to adjust list. When I started flying ..my cylclic was absolutly motionless....byt my RRPM's were only 295. I called the factory to see roughly how much to depitch the blades. Peter adivised aroung 0.060 of an inch. I made me a set of tracking bars and took out 0.060 of pitch. The pictures I have posted show my RRPM's around 315-325 with half fuel. Much better. I do have the new style blades.

Now that my senses arent so overloaded learning to fly this RAF..I am now nit picking on the little stuff. MY cabin hop isnt bad...but noticable. MY cyclic does show a little shake...but again..not bad.

I can see what looks like one blade flyng slightly higher...maybe an inch..no more...but I can only guess which one. I would rather not adjust the blades by trial and error.

I am going to try a bright spotlight at night. Anyone have any suggestions as to what worked best for them? reflective tape on the tips? certain color? is pre-rotating to 150 plus fast enough or should the blades be brought up to flight speed? Thanks for any suggestions and I will post what works and what doesnt for me.

Stan, do you trust your rotor tach readings, or did you back them up with other readings?
Did your changes increase the hop & shake? What RPM do you want with full gross weight?

BTW, Joe Souza told me that there was no place for me to install carb temp sensor in my Weber carb. I guess I saved some bucks? Keep us posted & keep it safe! Thanks again!
