Went to Mentone thursday, lots of cool folks, gyros, gyro projects. Got rides on the Monarch (?) and the Magni.

Here's me riding a Monarch and Magni. Cool birds both, loved the landing gear of the monarch, even i could have a chance of a smooth set down with them. Especially impressed with the handling of Magni, a sweetie, nearly effortless to fly.

A Sparrowhawk and Dominator are there for demo flights as well. Hoping to get annother ride or two saturday.

There were a couple really cool design projects there. Tim Blackwell's tractor (gyromaxwell) was there, getting pretty close to being done. There was an realy wild looking top-framed pusher there too. Check out the pusher with a pulling prop. Unfortunately forget the designers name, cool guy.

Not the Monarch, that would be the Golden Butterfly. ;) Got to ride one this spring, myself. The Monarch Butterfly is a single seater with the same G-force landing gear. Wish I could have been there.
