Tim,

Congrats on the first flight!

Looking forward to seeing you and your machine at Mentone.

Planning on bringing our machine, weather permitting, so you may not be the only CLT Air Command flying this year.

If you're interested, let's do a little CLT Air Command fly-by show for the crowd.

Planning on arriving late Thursday afternoon.

Either way, with or without the machine, look forward to being there with all the excitement!

Mark,

Thanks!

I took the prop off ran the engine and found the oil leak. It was coming out of the oil pan as I suspected (and hoped as anything else would have been bad).

The oil pan had to be removed so I could scrape off all of the old gasket material. Removing and replacing the oil pan with my engine mount is no small task. It took me 5 hours today.

I found a few sparkles in the bottom of the oil pan. I hope that is just normal break-in debris.

I would love to do some AC flybys! Lets hope I can have my machine ready in time.

Air Command had some last minute issues come up and have asked me to act as a substitute AC rep, answer questions and park my gyro in the AC vendor space.

It would be great if you would be willing to share the space with me if you bring up your CLT machine.

If luck holds I plan on flying up Thursday also.

Tim,

I would be happy to share the AC space with your machine, when it's not flying.

Checked the weather for the area this afternoon, looks good from Thursday morning on. Not as hot as last year, and some pretty good breezes, so weather won't keep me from towing the gyro over.

See you late Thursday afternoon.
