Which instructors will be at Mentone this year and when will they/you arrive? I'd like to get some lessons and can come as early as the weekend before to get them. What Gyro are you going to be training in?

I am pretty sure Steve Mcgowen will be training for GBA in a Sparrow Hawk and Greg Gremminger in his Magni.

I have received several emails asking if I'll be attending Mentone and if I'll be instructing.

Yes, I'll be at Mentone, but sadly NO :( , I will not have my gyro.

Although I am now a CFI, the paperwork from the FAA will not arrive in time for me to transition my U/L trainer to experimental. Plus the time necessary to get the paperwork from the PRA for the training exemption.

Currently I am training in my SnoBird gyro under the U/L exemption. Any training time, in a U/L, will count toward a Sport Pilot rating. But you have to be (or become) a member of either ASC, EAA or USUA.

If anyone on their way to Mentone would like to come a day or two early and stop at the Lansing, IL airport. I will offer training there. I may be able to do wednesday morning also.
