As you might expect, this is tentative. If everyone shows up and doesn't forget their appointed times this should be accurate.
I am not running the forums program this year. In the past we have made any necessary changes to the schedule board on the concession stand dining area tote board.

Tom,

A couple of questions about the Mentone Events:

1. The Subaru Forum. Do you know if it will be EA-81 and EJ-22 engines?
2. Will there be a coordinated visit to the Bell Museum? ( I missed it last 2 years :( )
3. What is up with the warsaw cross country on Friday?
4. If the answer to question #3 is food will we make it back in time to eat more at the sport pilot brunch at 1pm? :) :p

What do I have to do to register? I plan on camping, going to the banquet, and attending several of the events. What about getting some gyro training while I'm there?

I would be extremely interested in a transcript or good quality recording of Marion's comments, even though I have read her book!

Any way to accomplish that, Tom?

ALL of the forum's presentations would make great reading material in ROTORCRAFT magazine for the bulk of the PRA membership who cannot make it to the convention...

Each issue could have one of the forums transcripts published...

What about getting some gyro training while I'm there?Drive about 200 feet into the airport and stop at the office on your right. In the past, there has always been someone, at the entrance to help you follow the signs. Enter office. Tell them you want to register. Fill out the registration form which has the list of fees on it. This list also includes those for the award banquet if you are going to attend. Total it up and pay up.

It is too late now but may be in the years to come the pre-registration form can be made available from the PRA web site. People that pre-register just walk into the office and pick up their packet.

See if anyone in the office has knowledge of who is training and where they are located. Then make getting on the instructor's schedule the first priority. This means run, don't walk! Their schedule fills up fast and sometimes I suspect it is full before they get to Mentone. So, you may want to contact instructors before going making the trip.

Dean's advise is spot-on.

I just wanted to add a few things.

1. I got alot of training hours from Bensen Days and Mentone 03-04. But I had to sit on the flight line the whole time to maximize my chances to get time with the instructors. At B-Days I got really lucky and caught both Steve and Terry in a good enough mood ( and short ride list ) to each give me full lessons rather then the usual 30min intro ride time slot. I found the best time was to plant myself on the flight line first thing after the Mac Alarm Clock goes off.

2. If the weather is good and If I fly my 2-place to Mentone look me up. I will give you a ride. I am not a high time pilot  and time with me does not count for logable hours :( but if you want a ride let me know, I do have my Private Rotorcraft ticket.

Guys, I know nothing about the forums at Mentone this year. I just posted the schedule with Rick Marshall's permission to give you the heads-up. I'm Emcee'ing the banquet this year and helping the Gremmingers with the program book.

It would be great if the forums could be videotaped (with good sound) and made available for sale through the PRA website for those of us not able to attend. How cool would that be?
