Great shot!

Personally, I like the larger size. Smaller photos lack the detail I like.

Where can I find more info about this nice gyro, Mark?

G,day Jucie,
I built it up from an old dilapidated, basicaly Bensen gyro using components from some of our very talented manufacturers here in Australia.
Firstly I stepped the keel and lowered the standard Subaru EA81 motor 11 inches. I fitted a Rotax gearbox using an excellent adaptor kit engineered by Tim McClure. ( Tim is responsible for many, many people flying gyros in Aus. including myself)
It spins a 72" Warp Drive prop.
I put a new rotorhead with electric pre-rotator built by Max Tout from "Jetstream" Gyro,s.
Owen Dull from "Newo Gyro" built me the Tall Tail and with measurements given over the phone the tail bolted on perfectly in about an hours work.
The neat little instrument pod, nuts bolts and other materials are from Ross Symes at "Gyroscopic Rotorcraft". (I also done flight training with Ross all those years ago.)

Flying with 26' pitch adjustable rotors by Bert Larkin.

The gyro cruises at 45 knots @4100 revs and with the duel throat webber carb revs to 5000rpm. I have a pod / windscreen that bolts on easily (I rarely use it) that improves cruise considerably.
I have never measured climb rates but after flying a 503 Rotax for many years its enough to put a smile on my face.
I have flown it in fairly windy conditions and it feels comfortable.
Since that photo I have also fitted a different undercarriage with suspension.

Cheers

Mark

Mark,
I barely can believe that's a machine built from disparate pieces obtained from several sources, so nicely they fit together! Superb job. CONGRATULATIONS!
