I can't get the small gear out to put this bolt in. Anyone know why?

Brent, I looked through the documentation, and it looks like the end of the gear rides in a bearing, It might be a tight fit, but you should still be able to get it out, Hmmmm look at this exploded view and see if it might help.

Also try heating the backside of the gearhousing with a heat gun, NO TORCH, just apply some heat with a heat gun and it may expand it enough to get the shaft to slide out.

Here's a photo I found of what's in a C box. Hope it helps.

LIke I said it should pull right out but when it moves about 1/4" it hits something metlal you can hear it. I can't see it and don't want to damage the gold Rotax parts beating it out. I will have to go see the rotax man in Goldsboro Monday and see if he can tell how I should do it. What happened to just bolting the box on?

thanks

I'm with you Brent, it should slide out, but it don't. Hmmm?
Let us know what you find out.

There is nothing holding it. If you spray a little "freeze" on the gear it might help. They normally just slide out. Shouldn't damage anything putting a little pressure on it.

Putting the 670 rotax with a ebox on my two place. I have a lot to do just to get it back in the air but I can fly the pegleg gyro until it is ready. Then it will be forsale anyone want it?

Look up my post on the pegleg gyro and yes I did but the gearbox was the trouble. I want to try it again it has the power to weight I need.
