Looks like it worked! heck of a craft you got there. Does the battery pose any kind of hazard where its mounted? what about CG?

Not complaining.... just curious!

"heck of a craft" :D could mean a lot of things.

No noticeable problem with the battery where it is as far as C of G goes but I am not happy with it. It is a lot of weight down low. Since that photo I have fitted a new undercariage with suspension and also moved the radiator to make room for one of those you beaut lightweight and small batteries to sit up on the higher section of the keel.
The gyro is set up so that the pod can be taken on or off in about 45 mins. I enjoy the open frame style but if I intend anything long distance (or it is cold) I just bolt it on. Apart from the extra airspeed I dont notice much difference.

I will take another shot of it, I have the pod off at the moment, and attach it
