I have 1/8th in . aluminum sheet for my seatplates and tailwheel plates, so now I'm wondering where I would get the wheel at. Let my get the dumb question out of the way first. Can you use a rollerblade wheel or something like that? If not can you direct me to one. I'll look around but input would be appreciated...

I've been told that two roller blade wheels work. Saw this on GyroMikes machine

I used a little bigger wheel found on the little scooters (those skateboard things with the handles). They are usually in the same parts section as the rollerblade wheels. They have a 5/16 inside diameter in the bearings. I have a couple of small spacers on either side. Works great.

One roller blade wheel works fine.

I use a pair of 78mm rollerblade wheel stacked side-by-side.
They're ~3" in diameter, and are holding up well.

The scooter wheels are 100mm (~4").

I used a single roller blade wheel... works great. Very little wear after a couple of years.

The coolest thing is that I was able to find it online *cheap* with a yellow hub and red tread to match the paint scheme on my Bee! Roller blade wheels can be found in a myriad of sizes, colors, and hole ID's to whatever needs you have. Just poke around on the web and you'll be amazed what's out there.

I used one regular size rollerblade wheel. I just asked my students at school if anybody had some they were not going to use. Bingo! Got to have a couple of perks at my salary.
