Air Command Upgrades

I finally got started today on my CLT upgrade and I am also installing a new 12" longer rear keel and a HS kit. I got as far as removing the old keel ,rock guard, and rudder. Should have the new keel cut and drilled and installed tomorow so I can continue with the tear down process. I am just going to post 2 before Pics. and the finished one when completed . Rotorhead has real good video record of this process.

I am curious to know how it goes. I had a little thing that made it easier for me. From my upgrade, my tip is, if the bolts don't fit easily, DON'T force them... It WILL go together smoothly if done right....

What parts do you get with the CLT kit?

I'm not really aure. Doug at Air Command woud be best to ask. I got everything (including a new joystick, stabs and a keel extension at the same time). I think that other than those parts, everthing you need is there..

You may need a longer pre-rotator flex shaft, since the engine moves back 4 inches (I did) and I also needed to reposition my rotorhead after a hang test (3 inches back and 2.5 inches up, for more prop clearence).

I hope that helps... I have the manual and I can scan some pages for you if you want...

Spiff, I got the tail extentsion, the nose wheel stifener kit, and what you need for the clt conversion. so far the prerotor fits, same with the wirers and such. You do get cable extentsions and brake hose. Should call for a price if you want more like a mast or new stick.

Is that a custom cowl you had made or did you get it from Air Command? Never saw one before.

Vince, it was made by Sport Copter for the previous owner.
