I am planning to held a 3 day flying in PR the second week of June. First problem was how to bring US gyro to PR. SOlution get SEA star freight company to sponsor a container. Well I am almost there on getting a container departing Jacksonville FL. So right now I am trying to see what will be needed to bring a container full of gyro's or ultras for the show and to ship them back. So if you have a dream of flying next to the ocean and come to the island for vacation . Stay in touch.
I know there will be some cost but right now we are trying to get sponsor as an international event. It wont be sun/fun but FUn and a lot of SUn yes.
Now my next request what can we have in the show. beside a bunch of gyros flying. we have a skydive school so we will have some of that in the air. several vintage aircraft to show up. CAP to help on the ground, US custom heli a dolphine, perhaps fedex caravan. I am open to suggestions and help. The night party I have that one plan al ready.

Hey Chuck Y, we are posed to go to Sun-N-Fun and from there I Will go to Brazil.
I am thinking of dropping by on that occasion, and depending on timing you may be able to see the whole crew, not a promise, ok?
I will be driving the old clunker back to Florida, it is going to the slaughter house and that is more likely to happen, we can get together for dinner and I will truck on to the Sunny State.
see you

I still remember an old guy learnign to fly he grab the sictk as it was an anchor to the ground. Thanks god I have the electro shock on the back seat.

Chuck P.
PS. I am planning to see if I can get a video going this weekend to see if I can get some Us gyro pilots enlisted to the show. Last information I got was that SEA star freigth was going to sponsor a 20' container in/out of PR. I got a trucking company that will move the trailer from port to airpot and back free. Thje only thing I have to clear is goverment permits. Since this is an intransit cargo I might get it waive.
But if no one gets enlisted we might decide to go up to the us.

Hello again Chuck,
That's a really nice looking machine you have there. What engine pushes it?
Caribean_gyro
03-19-2004, 10:58 AM
;D she has a lycoming engine. Blue printed, port and balance. dyno tested at 180hp. I can rotate at 45 climb out at 55 and indicate 1500 feet per minute. IS SCARY. she has every thing you want except bathrom and a flight attendant.
radio, transponder, intercome retractable landing light, light rotates 360 degress both direction. I was seaching for land crabs the other night. GPS, joystick trim. ANd yes student electro shock. 2 infinity joysticks. etc, etc.
so come down to fly over the ocean, we might cath some nudist on the beach.

Wow!! That's some machine. Thankx for the info.
When I was in the car business in Arlington, Texas, I had a super nice customer who was married to a lady from PR. They moved back to PR in about the mid 90's. I sure wish I could remember their names.

Wow, that's a powerful machine! What's the top speed?

That is my teaching machine !!! Is a monster!! :o :o
Caribean_gyro

The top speed . Indicated is 85 but we were doing 105 ground speed.
The problem is that I have 30 foot RAf blades and the more power I add she want to just keep climbing. If I change to 29 foot I know I can get it to crusie at 80+. right now I do 65 normally.
But she has power to take you out of a problem , but also to put you in a problem. I can do a 360 nose up hanging on the tail spin the gyro and climb as I spin.
I do this just to demostrate the power capability . The only machine I have feel the same power was STeve Mcgowan machine. LOVE that feel of horse power.
