You have way too much free time, Ron. Why don't you come over and help me finish my Air Command!

Ron, the grass is starting to grow down here. So it won't be long before you'll be up to your butt in work. I trust you've got a good crew.

A good Crew???? It is just me and myself! I can service 10-12 lawns a day easy and upto 15-20 in one day if I really bust my butt. It pays the bills and I have no employee troubles to deal with. Every once in a while if I get behind I will call one of my friends to work for a day or two here and there. But normally I work alone.

Paul most of my lawns are sized to where it takes the Homeowner with a push mower or a small riding mower about a hour to a hour and half to mow, edge, string trim, and blow off the clippings off the driveway.

I use a 25 horsepower 61 inch wide Scag commercial Riding mower that has a zero turning radius and can cut grass nicely at 10 mph. It takes me about 10 minutes to mow and another 10 minutes to trim and edge and blow and then I am off to the next yard. Most of my day is spent driving from yard to yard in the truck. It rarely takes me alone more than 30-45 minutes to do the average lawn. Lawns that take more time cost a lot more to service. Average lawn pays 25-30$ per cutting with 4 cuts per month. 10 a day is no problem at all. In the past I had two guys working for me and the three of us could knock out 30 lawns a day if we busted our butts. Of course it helps that the lawns aren't far apart from each other and that in many cases we would have 4 or 5 lawns all side by side so they could be done at one time.

Aussie Paul,

Ron is one of the very few who makes more money per hour than most doctors.

Yeah but remember I haven't cut a lawn since before Christmas and I only work 4 to 5 days a week. I also sleep till 9am and don't get to my first job of the day till usually 11am.

Ron, what you're saying is that you only work when you want to and that you're content to make a couple hundred grand per year, tax free. Right?

Sounds good but I report all my earnings. I wouldn't get any loans if I couldn't prove income and they want 1040's for proof

I also don't make anywhere near that much in a year

The old seasonal income to average out. At least with the gyros I train in these days my training is not as seasonal as it once was.

Ron, maybe if you quit paying taxes you wouldn't have to take out any loans.
I know you could never consider that though. I just hate to see people pay interest.

It is okay. I get alot of writeoffs. Taxes aren't too bad, just have to add it into the cost of doing business

Just woke up Chucky ;) I am thinking of trying to install a Smoke system on the Phantom today. I will be off to the junkyard to find parts in a hour or two....
