Ok, been sort of working on a project of my own design. Have not said alot about it to many people but it has been suggested I go ahead and post to let others look at it and maybe give opinions on things I may have missed or not properly designed. Anyways guys here is my latest project (no name yet) tractor autogyro!!!!!!!!!!! www.skyguynca.com and scroll down you will know it when you see it.

Build yourself this Beautiful new Tractor Gyro!
It takes less than 3 weeks to completely build it too!! *
* Disclaimer: Mere mortals may take longer to build this gyro....
Are you going to have a tail skid or wheel?

Going to do a tail wheel. You can probably see the 4130 frame work is there for it but I still need to weld the plates on that hold the tail wheel. Thanks

How do you get the cans to stick to the wall like that. Must be god like powers. Which explains how you can do all that work in 14 days. Hope it flies as good as it looks. Neil

Day 6 was funny...
"Still need to rivet it all but the new Battlestar Galactica is coming on followed by Star Trek..."
I do the same, but include South Park to the list!
Boy, David, you're a prolific builder. Looks great.

Thanks Brian. I enjoyed the original Battlestar Galactica and Star Trek in my younger years, I must say with the exception of Deep Space Nine I have enjoyed all the Star Trek's and the New Battlestar Galactica is really well done and I too watch South Park nightly.

Oh I wish it was. Today ran into a snag. I had to move the main gear fwd 10 inches to relieve the stress on the nose gear and to improve the ground handling. The nose gear had way to much weight on it empty (135lbs) and then adding a body was just putting to much stress on it(200 lbs). Now since I moved it the nose gear has only 100lbs on it (less than the weight of the engine) and adding 5 gallons of gas and my 210lbs brings it up to a whopping 130lbs, now that I can live with. I also had to move my Instrument panel back another 3 inches to give more clearance to the cyclic when it gets installed. I also am making a few changes to the nose gear steering to allow better control of the cable tension and that will be it for today.
I have to say building is very enjoyable, but designing and building a prototype is a hornets nest. My hat is off to all those guys before me building and designing what is now flying.
Building: Measure twice, cut once.
Designing: Measure twice, cut once.....redesign, modify, make the same part 4 different ways and then start all over again tomorrow.
