Interesting -- I will be in France 18-26 May. I have a fairly tight schedule, 19-24 in Normandy (I'll be staying in Bayeux) and 24-26 in Paris -- will be with my father -- but could probably visit one aviation site or event in those areas/time frames.

If any of our French readers had a suggestion, post it here or hit me by email -- hognose at aero dash news dot net. Ideally some event/something that was of interest to my father also (a now-retired PPL) would be ideal. Does France have a national air museum? (Considering how much that nation advanced flight, especially before 1914, it had better!)

cheers

The biggest french Air Museum is the one of Le Bourget (near Paris): very interesting from the beginning of the first flight to the Concord and beyond; worthwhile the detour...
The French Bensen day is at Bois de la Pierre (near Toulouse) the 13-14-15 may 2005; it's in fact a Europeen event: many gyros and helicos...
