Scott and I would like to invite all of you to the Second Annual MIDDLE GEORGIA GATHERING OF FRIENDS-- SX DAYS--(Can't say FLY-IN....No insurance) Saturday, Sunday, July 16-17: At the Flying "H" Ranch Airpark, Concord, Georgia (GA68). Three miles north of Concord, Georgia. About 15 miles from Griffin, Georgia (and the old Aircraft Spruce). GPS: 33° 06.891' N / 84° 26.945' W; Elevation 800'. Runway 02/20: 2200' x 100', turf. 8:00 am to whenever.

Driving Directions:
From I 75 for those of you driving. From I-75, you are about 30-35 miles away.

1. Travel I 75 North or South (depending on where you are coming from) to Exit #205 / highway 16 to Griffin. This exit is north of Macon and Forsyth, but south of Atlanta and the Tanger Outlet Mall.

2. Take Highway 16 to Griffin. Once in Griffin ignore the first highway 19 south because this is business 19 south. Go all the way through town passing a Home Depot on the right and exit on to highway 19 / 41 South.

3. At the next exit, exit right on to highway 362. Remain on 362 to Hollonville. You will pass the (former) Aircraft Spruce building complex on your left, and a Huey UH-1 on your right.

4. When you pass the Huey, you are getting close. You will also pass Barnstormers on the right. As you get in to Hollonville, there is kinda sharp curve to the right. Start slowing down.

5. Turn left on to Concord Rd. This road is directly in front of an old convenience store.

6. Once on Concord Rd, about 3 miles look for a pond on the right and Scott Essex's hangar is on the first driveway to the right after the pond. He has a mailbox with yellow with purple flames on it. You can't miss it.

7. Follow the drive across the runway to Scott's Hanger.
Contact Scott Essex: e-mail: sessex@bellsouth.net or John Stevens (678) 758-5588 (Cell); e-mail: jpstevens2003@yahoo.com . Click http://www.airnav.com/airport/GA68 for airport info.

See ya'll there.

I might even have some room for tents out back, I cleaned alot of that area up and bush hogged it. I would like to get a head count as we get closer. Looking forward to it.

I'll need your credit card number to hold your room! LOL!

OK consider it done. I should be able to move the vehicles out so we have hangar space avaiable for overnight storage.

The RV doesn't mind sleeping outside, so don't go to any troubles on my planes account

Just an FYI, I will have an outdoor shower facility hooked up, so you can shower and or cool off. So bring a towel and if you want a bathing suit.
Last year it was very hot!

Scott,
I'm going to try to fly the UW over with a refueling stop in Tuskeegee and Pine Mountain/Callaway Gardens. GPS says we're 126 miles apart straightline. Can I get 93 oct in Pine Mountain?

That's another advantage of the PM approved console. I carry extra 2 cycle oil in the mailbox along with clean underwear.

David, I have no idea, check here, you may have to phone them to find out. http://www.airnav.com/airport/KPIM
That would be very cool.

Hey John,
Here is a short cut from the south side that will save about 45 min. of driving time. Hope it makes sense.....
