What's the differnce in a 447 single carb if I were to put a new intake manifold and a second carb on.. Right now it rates at 40hp...

If better, where can I get a new intake and second carb? CPS?

I also have a VW 1800cc motor that runs great. Is that an engine adaptable in a gyro? if so, where would I get a reduction box/belt system?

Thanks

It is not going to make much more power with another carb. Not worth the trouble if you ask me. I would look to upgrade to a Rotax 503 with dual carbs and dual ignition.

I might also consider - might being a strong word here - a R&D Aerosports performance exhaust for the 447. It should pump the power up to what a 503 produces, and if you jet it right, the engine should still be okay.

Shawn, I just ordered an exhaust from them yesterday. They are sending it to me with the new jets which are required for it to run properly. Total was about $460. If you want I'll let you know what I find. I'm going to try to put together something to measure thrust and do a before and after check.

Please let us know how the tuned pipe works, I have been thinking about a pipe for my 503, but don't want to be the first kid on the block to try one.
