Hey guys,

I thought it might be a good idea if we started sharing some of our favorite web sites with each other. I realize that this will be redundant to many of us, but it could really be a benefit to others. So I'll start it off with one of my favorites, which happens to be a very good tool if you're planning to fly over an unfamiliar area and just want to see what's there first.

This web site will allow you to get an actual satellite image of just about any location. However, the image might be several years old.

Please let me know what you think of the idea and the web site.

Hey Harry,

It is a little slow. I guess that's probably due to the fact that there is so much detail. But if has been worth the wait to me also. Thanx for the feedback.

What are you going to do, see what the terrain looks like around Aussie Paul's place? BTW, I am looking forward to getting the pic in my email.

I was just wondering if that website could do intercontinental.

If the Photos were updated, I could use it to find my little cherries ;D

John, you need to remember that there is a generation between us. What do you mean by cherries? BTW, I am still waiting on the picture.

John, did you mean cherries as in "cherry picking" in the car business? If so? Gotcha!

Chuck,

Yes, I was talking about finding my cars at a moments notice. Haven't had any problems yet, but it would be nice to punch in the customers home or work address and see exactly where my car is prior to calling the rollback.

That pic was no where near as bad as the one you sent me. :-[

Cool site Chuck, it is a little slow loading though. If you just want to see the ground and load faster you can go to: http://terraserver.homeadvisor.msn.com/. This is what I have in my favorites but the home address is:
www.terraserver.com/

This is where I go to get my photos. It doesn't have all the info that your site does but you can see what you in for.

Another one is: http://www.globexplorer.com/ The only deal with this site is the words globexplorer on the images.

I have a big 4'X8' pieced together print out of most of the county I live in on my wall in my home office.
