Trailering an RAF with mast down

I posted this in Owners/Drivers, but this may be better. I am looking for advise on how to support the RAF mast in the down position while trailering. I have an aluminum utility trailer with no sides. If one uses a 2 x 4 or 2 x 2, does the bottom part go into the redrive or between the propeller blades in the prop. hub ? I have a 900 mile trip this week-end to spend a week with Ron menzie. I have been dumb before, I want to be smarter here. Thanks Tom Hall in MN.

As I recall, I rested the bottom part of the board on the engine block, just forward of the redrive plate area.
