This might be old hat stuff to some folks, but I agonized over a battery box and thought I'd share what I came up with.

The problem is that on my Dominator, there just isn't room for much anything. Where to put stuff?? The battery box is an obvious solution. It will also act as a ground buss when finished and powder coated and a copper bar riveted on the top back left or right. Haven't decided.

Here's the rear of the box with the Rotax rectifier bolted on.

And a view showing the front where it will snug up to the mast. That's the master relay to the left.

And a view from the top showing how it will snug into the mast. Also showing the starter relay.

What doesn't show here is how the fuel flow sensor will connect to the bottom. This silly thing is gonna be sprouting more stuff than you can shake a stick at. It's made of .040 6061 T6 with 6061 T6 angle. The inside will be lined with wood.

Off to the powder coater tomorrow. There is probably better ways, but it's what I came up with.

A little closer look at an end where I did the bends and riveting (pop rivets).
