Well, it's finally done. Now all I am waiting on is the weather to break so I can do a few crow hops, then get back in the air... I'm very excited to feel the differences from the HTL configuration.

Shawn,
Bring it to the Chapter 73 meeting Saturday! We'd love to see it.
Maybe it's an optical illusion, but does the horizontal stab have a positive incidence? (Creating aerodynamic nose-down on the airframe?)

No, it's an illusion. The stab is parallel to the keel. I see how it looks that way in the photo.
I'll probably make it to the next PRA 73. I have a funeral to attend this coming weekend.
shawn be sure you get the front fork stiffiner up grade from air-command. set up like you have it the front forks will give out on you on a dirt or grass strip

Are there any other options out there for nose wheels?? I have seen a few fabs of what looked like a caster style single tube support, stright up-and-down wheel.
shawn,
glad ya have it, looks like ya did a real nice job on the your clt kit, let us know the differents in the way she flys ok.

I was looking at the pictures on your web site. I suggest putting a large washer under the bolt heads on your heim fittings in the scissor assembly. Every so often the heim pops off the ball joint. I have seen the results on a Dominator. The guy was lucky it happened just before liftoff.

Shawn,
One other caveat on the front fork stiffener. If you fly off of grass, keep an eye on the angle piece on the front fork which the strap attaches to. There is not much metal at the backside of the hole in the angle, and it stretches the hole out of round. It will eventually still fold up on you, unless Air Command has improved that piece. I made mine out of steel after two of them had the hole stretch, in one year's worth of flying!
You will enjoy the difference the CLT addition makes.
Nice machine, fly the you-know-what out of it!

I will kepp an eye on that fron wheele assembly... My goal is to keept he nose wheel off the ground as much as possible since I have gotten a few nicks in my prop from front wheele rocks.
Thanks
