Always had an interest in this design.
How much welding is involved? Wheel Struts? Engine Mount?
Can the tail be scratch fabricated?
Are the plans user friendly?
From what I heard if you talk to Ernie he can help or build almost anything for the machine..assuming he has time :)

John,
The Dominator single can be built from plans. You can do it from scratch, all the welding etc. yourself, or you can buy sub assemblies. Dad also offers prewelded peices all the way upto a complete machine. The tail in the plans is built from wood the new tail he sells is made from aluminum. any other questions you have, I'd be more than happy to answer them. I hope to see you at Bensen Days.

John;
If I had to do all over again, I would have waited few more years until Ernie was producing kits. When I started in 91, I could weld on the table where I could
Position the part any way I wanted and I had to use pedal ( TIG ) but I had to
Teach myself to weld remote that means upside down, sideways, up hill down
Hill it was quit learning curve. Tip: learn with out the pedal.
Next hurdle, do you have access to necessary fabrication equipment? Yes you can
use common power tools but to the novelist welder quality of fit is everything
I have full blown machine shop now. I could have bought 4 or 5 dominators with
That investment. Which brings me to my final point do you want build or Fly
My advice would be keep your B8M stay current with your training build on the
Side in your spare time with component assemblies provided and building support
by Ernie will save your sanity, lucky you your so close to him
As for the tail the first I one built (wood ) took 400 building hours to complete
And was damaged by on looker at Oshkosh in 98 he simply broke tip off the
Horizontal, buy or build aluminum !
Good Luck

John,
I am not sure how much a complete body costs.

I was just looking for the price on the windscreen. Mine is pretty gnarly. I'm just about done with the rebuild and looked at that and said... why not...

John,
It's call LFINO. It's a three bladed, full collective,m partially powered rotored gyro. They have designed it to jump takeoff and fly at 130 MPH. It will also land vertically. any more questions sir?

If yall can't post pictures and progress on the RFD site, send them to me and I'll make a spot on the PRA site. This type of stuff is cool!!! New, exciting, cutting edge.
I've corrected the PRA site photo album.
