Stan, As much as you like to fly you could do a short cross country and fly down.

Stan,
Wish I could. It would be nice to fly around up north.
Are you going to the RAF gathering after Oshkosh?

Rudy: I am going to get together with several RAF pilots up in the NW corner of Illinois sometime this year...but I dont know if this has anything to do with Osh Kosh.
I would fly to Osh Kosh if it werent for just coming back from Mentone for four days.

Stan,
I understood it was being held at Fon Du Loc after Oshkosh. (Hope I didn't screw up the spelling too bad).

Rudy: I doubt I make it up there at that time.
By the way....looking forward to sitting under a tree at Bensen days and talking gyros.... :)

Mark,
Are you planning on bringing one or your many gyros to Jennings?
I would like to see the Falcon.

Rudy, its embarassing to have that many Gyros and not be able to fly. Of course I will bring something, even if I just warm up the Mac. I may bring the Falcon and Mac. Now that it is summer, I can work late , can't take the cold

I think Jace is planning on attending and bringing his gyro as well. Bill said his Gyro is doing very well now that he has his contol rods adjusted and the new exhaust valve seat installed.

Mark,
I wish I had your money.
I think you are tied right now with others in the chapter. Just pruchase one more gyro & I think you can be the member with the most gyros in hanger.
Make sure you come hungry, Steve should have plenty for you to eat.

I wish I had my money also, Blaze is 17 and going thru that rebellion stage so he gets grounded alot lately. It helps when I dont have to buy him dating clothes and spending money, car insurance, gas money and the movies.
But now he has found my supply of AN hardware and is putting it on his gokart

Mark,
I doubt I will make it. The prior weekend I will be flying to Hondo, Texas for the EAA Texas Flyin (about 1-1/2 hour flight). My wife is thinking I am spending too much time and money on traveling to fly-ins this year and I do want to go to Mentone.
I'll probably be flying around home and wishing I was there in Louisiana.

Rudy,
Do you have a digital camera? Can you get pics of you guys fly-in and post it to the pra.org website? I'll set you up with an account to do that and make those pics the featured ones.

John,
That would be cool, since many of our members take digital pictures.
We try to record all of our chapter meets for our website as well as Rotorcraft.
But I think that job should go to someone who is computer savy, Mike Gaspard.

I was with Jace Gray, Saturday at the Woodworth Airport. He has a nice Bensen with beautiful rotors. He told me he was coming Saturday and hopefully bringing his machine. I received a call from my postman who Bill has been sending our newsletter to also. He belongs to a motorcycle club and he said their club has planned a trip to Jennings to see these gyro things in action. He has been interested for about a year now. Roger has not begun on his Bee so he will not be bringing a machine that I know of.
Jace ask if anything special was planned for Saturday night ?

You asked for some pictures , how many do you want to see. We had a great turn out. 13 gyros, 1 ultralight fix wing, 1 power parachute, 1 helo. and some great LA cooking.

Were those 3 chairs set up in front of the motorcycle for people to sit in when they feel they're about to barf from eating too much? Man that stuff looks good. Looks like we may be moving to Charlotte afterall, so I'll probably be able to join you guys for crawfish next year.

I took a bunch of pictures, but I forgot my camera at the hangar after I returned. I'll pick it up later when I head to the hangar, and may post a couple more tonight.

I have several but Rudy and Mike write our club articles for the Mag. so I want to save some unseen for them. I will bring Mike a CD tomorrow and he can go thru them. I have some great gyro line up shots and indiviadual shots. I MUST get Mike or SOMEONE who flys to take me some air shots. Mike did a flyby that had me giggling on the ground practically. He flew down the runway about 10 feet high and then walked it sideways all very fast. But the look on his face was priceless. He was beaming with pide because that yellow Bensen really moves and looks good. The wind was pretty strong. Maybe Rudy or Mike or Bob will post something on what it was like flying in our conditions

John, if you look you will see Mike has just loaded his plate. Someone in the background is filling theirs and the cooler is full. Later you can see Mike returned to the cooler and it is almost empty. I have shots of him eating crawfish and using a 4 wheeler for a table, he visted two other tables each time with another serving. I believe next time we will serve him in that big foot tub. I invited him to eat supper with us before he left. But he told me he was full! He like them mudbugs as much as he likes his Benen I believe.

Rudy, Steve, Mike, Bill and the rest of the crew did an excellant job. Jennings had as many gyros as Gonzales and they were all local. But we miss and welcome our vistors. The food is great.

Mark,
That young lady that is talking to gyromike is an undercover cop from Texas.
I think she was trying to get some information out of him.
Also the guy that flew the ultralight, works for the DEA spraying drug crops.
