Greetings gentlemen,
Glad I found this forum. Seems to be a lot more informative than other forums I have come across, much better organized and (of all things!) ACTIVE!!! I am a Gyrobee rotorhead wannabe. Many aeons ago I held a CMSEL that has long since lapsed...(changed jobs...when I had the time, I didn't have the money; when I had the money, I didn't have the time).

Now, at a much riper age (so ripe I'm getting soft in places) I want to get back in the air and the Gyrobee seems the way to go. The Starbee kits may be my salvation as I don't have access to a machine shop for the drilling that needs to be done. It wasn't until now that I was truly able to get back into aviation (divorce, ex-wife, credit cards....need I say more?)....but of late money has become more available and I hope to see some of you in the air before the year is out.

Pardon me if I tend to get wordy.

Mark, Redhorse stands for Rapid Emergency Deployment, Heavy Operational Repair Squadrons, Engineering. A USAF program loosely equivalent to the Navy Seabees.

I think that the gyrobee seems to be the new "Bensen" for this era, It is good to see Star Bee activly supporting it and making kits.

See If you can make it to Bensen Days next month, talk to the StarBee folks, and get a ride with one of the instructors there, your life will never be the same.
