I must say that after I saw a friend of the family commute to work in his $275,00 helicopter I got jealous of his ability to fly and began to think of how I could fly. Well I am just 23 years old and not a man of many dollars, but I have discovered that a gyro sounds like it would suit me just fine. I have been obsessing flying for the longest time and I feel that I am ready to start making that jump in to the reality of personal flight. I am planning on attending and contacting my local PRA chapter in nearby Lansing IL and begin learning more first hand about these incredible machines. Thank you all for the forums and I look towards the future and hope within a reasonable amout of time I will fly!!!

Glad to hear that your interested in gyros, and that you found out about our club! Like chuck said, our club website, www.gyroclub.com, has information about our next club meeting on it. I know where you're coming from being short on cash but big on enthusiasm. My friend, and current club secretary, Nick Costa and I were in a similar situation when we started building our gyro about 2 years ago. Well we're still not rich, but we do own a completed, flying gyroplane. You can do it too, and this club can offer a lot of support. Hope to meet you soon.
