We got snow then ice and more ice then more ice yesterday and last night and a little more today. It isn't too thick but for some reason it mainly stuck to the roads, not to the grass and so on. I thought about flying today but the runway is covered with a two to three inch thick layer of ice.....

That was a pic of my house, and here is another. The funky thing on the fence is a solar charger for the remote automatic gate opener on the driveway. Our whole property is fenced with chain link across the front and a 6 foot tall wooden privacy fence the rest of the way around.

View of my hangar and part of the runway. My hangar is the last big one with doors. A friend is just about done with his next to mine - he is just got to finish his doors and move his stuff in there - and we got another one started next to his. where my hangar sits, and then on past it for about 800 feet was a pond up till about a year ago. Past my hangar was still a pond till about 3 months ago until they filled it in for these two hangars. Now we have room for another 3 more to be built plus the one just started.

Our place is called Goose Creek - 28A - and for a good reason! we have a creek on the field ... plus a goose or two. Here is one of the ponds on the property. This pond is right off the runway about 30 feet from the edge of the runway!

Don't know how they don't freeze to death in that cold water???

Tell you one thing Ron: you guys are brave for living in the cold areas.
As a tropical lizzard I am having some dificulties here in North Texas. As a terapy I look at the pics from places in Brazil I hope I can one day fly over.
The Carolinas are beautifull and the Blue Ridge is gorgeous.
To many trees to fly over though . . . . ;)
Just a few more weeks and you will get flying weather again.
see ya

Ron, from looking at your pictures, I'm surprised you wern't out perfecting your loops today. Man, that does looks bad. It got up to 71 here today. I think I'll stay here in the deep south.

Hey Guy, at least you have nice summers though. Sometimes it gets really hot down here.
