Does anyone have any experience with this brand of gyroplanes?
GYRO-KOPP-TERS
Midnight Hawk and Mosquito Hawk Gyroplanes
I have a PRA chapter member that is looking at these kits.
They are listed in the PRA magazine & I've visited the website.
A member of my PRA chapter is looking into them & I would like to help him.

Rudy:
I have been corresponding back and forth with Bob over the last 6 months. I am planning a memorial weekend trip down to see him. I do have pictures of his gyro in the building phase. His gyro's are maybe not the best looking gyros out there but His design is a basic benson gyro and with no thrills I guess is what Ron is maybe trying to say.
I am building a hornet gyro and I am about maybe 1\3 done. But I still am debating on buying a midnight hawk for my daughter possibly If she ever gets stockcar racing out of her blood. I think for the money it is a good gyro to buy and has everything included with it.(pod, prerotator, insturments and plenty of power).
If you would like some of the building pictures of the midnight hawk I will send you a cd of them that I made.

Bob is a super nice guy. His machines pack alot of bang for the buck. On the other hand the fit and finish of his machines are far below what you would expect of a " manufactored" product. I don't remember seeing anything on them that looked unsafe, but the saying you get what you pay for here is very much a true saying. He is selling new machines for about 30-50 percent less than any other manufactor would sell their compareable product for. Personally if you don't mind a homemade looking gyro then go for it.

Brian,
Thanks for the offer, when I talk to my friend I'll tell him about your pictures. He may be going to see Bob in a few weeks. He is going to call & talk to him about his machines, I think he may want Bob to build it for him.
He got a raw deal on a gyro he was having built, he waited almost 2 years to only get his money back. Needless to say he is cautious of who he deals with.
