The first pic is JT's place, to the left of 27 approach.

The next pic is of an abandoned limestone quarry, that, I envision a home being right on top of that semi-island. I had told Chuck Irby I would show him this place. :(

Tha next pic is of the other side of the *homesite* showing the road into the *hill*.

Ahhh...memories of Florida. Nice and flat, nothing to hit but radio towers. Put floats on your gyro and you'll have an emergency landing strip every couple miles...

If you build on that little island, make sure you put up a fence to keep the gators off the porch!

At the supermarket checkout tonight, I noticed that Readers Digest has a cover story about JT. Since the cashier was tied up with a customer whose food stamp debit card was over limit, I got to skim the article.

Apparently, Mr. Travolta wakes each day about 5 PM, does most of his preparation for movie roles and almost all his flying at night, then goes to bed at dawn. He says he likes living at night, because if he goes anywhere in the daytime, he's recognized. I guess I can see where that would be a hassle...

John says he flies about 400 hours a year, 200 in the airliner, and 200 in the G-II.

I was channel surfing last night and they had a show talking about how celebrities' kids live on E! I paused my surfing on that channel just in time to see them go into a bit about John Travolta. In 2004 for summer vacation he took his family around the world to various destinations. He flew them in his airliner. It said his young daughter recently flew on a commercial flight for the first time and asked what "all these other people" were doing on the flight. She wasn't used to having other people on the plane when she flew. Ahh, the good life. Isn't it sweet?

Thanks Paul for the Readers Digest tip. I'm not an RD fan but I'll pick this one up. The other hangar rats will want to read it too.
The neighbors around the airport have said...not complained...that he usually arrives between 2 and 3 AM. They say that they mostly hear him, when he goes into reverse thrust.

Tim, thank you for the post. You can read more of him and/or the airpark developer on their website at Jumbolair.com/. Like you say...money makes more things interesting.

Cheers :)
