As our visit continued, Rick informed me that color printing costs about three times what it does for black and white.

He also reminded me that he made a commitment to the members at the Mentone '04 membership meeting that he would print every article they submitted. However, Paul Abbott started a policy that nothing that could be construed as a personal attack would be printed. It appears that Rick follows that policy and has had to turn down only one article so far. The person wasn't too happy about it even after Rick showed how it could be modified for print. That person threatened to file a law suit if the article was printed in any other form other than what was submitted, so it wasn't printed. Such is the life of an editor!

I urged Rick, at Mentone '04, to write an article about how the mag is put together/published and the costs involved. I reminded him about this but he wants to give priority to member's articles. If you think it would help to get this info out now and as a reference for new people then please email Rick and tell him he needs to give his article some priority.

Rick says he only makes it to Mentone about once a month so it is better to send articles by email directly to him at cra40@earthlink.net By the way, Doug Riley, he did say that he received the article you sent Mentone.

Can you offer them this sugestion:
Print all issues in black and white and have a collor album with all the pics (yearly) at a price that we can also contribute with the PRA financial strength?

I am still kicking myself in the you know where because my last trip to Brazil I had no camera to shoot this pilot doing some crazy things with great precision.
Balancing in ONE main
Taking of in one wheel and landing the same way
Towing banner
doing 180's in the ground with one wheel in the floor
Great flying and after some demos, he took his student to do the same stuff in the runway, balancing in one wheel and such.
I have up to 300 pics already.
The PRA Photo Album would make for a great gift, we could have 8 issues, the calendar issue and the Album as a package to sell and help out our finances.
Lets say 50 bucks a year?
Plus the dues of 35, I think we can buy another airport soon (here in Fla of course :D )
