Please post your CURRENT names addresses and phone numbers of gyro instructors. I'm looking at making a portal for the rotary wing forum which would allow us to have some links in the sidebars for thing just like this. I have made this a sticky topic for now, so it will stay at the top of the list. Please help by contributing names and any other information to this list. I'll being taking the information from this list and creating a web page.

.....Paul Bruty, Ballarat, Victoria, Australia. 60 miles/100 km West of Melbourne. Phone 61 3 53 347717, CFI, flight examiner, and aircraft inspector.

I first flew gyrogilders with my father in 1962 when I was 12 y/o, and have been flying powered gyros since 1982, having accumulated in excess of 3,000 hours instructing since 1990. I was soooo lucky to have a father that was interested in flying and encouraged me to always look for, and understand why things work.

I am available 7 days a week for training, with live in accomodation on the airport as well as motel accomodation close by. Ballarat is a rural city of 85,000 people. People can fly into Melbourne International airport, take a shuttle bus to Ballarat, where I will pick them up and take them to their accomodation. Gyro students from all over the world are most welcome.

Aussie Paul. :)

Mike Solano, AFI
Caddo Mills, TX
eMail: pooldude@texoma.net
Home: 903-364-5082
Cell: 903 815-3494

Note: I have had training with five different instructors. I put Mike at the top of the list of the instructors I have been exposed to. A 30 minute lesson with Mike was comparable to roughly 1 1/2 hours training with one CFI I went to, and probably 2 hours with another CFI.

As you can tell, I am very high on Mike as an instructor.

Todd,

Please add David Overman to your Certified Flight Instructors list. David is teaching full time for GBA Gyroplanes of Seattle. He has set up a schedule Monday through Saturday 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. We are now activily teaching gyro students to get their pilots certificates. David also has given a number of introductory instructional flights. He is using a detailed sylibus designed by Terry Brandt ,Master Certified Flight Instructor, from American Autogyro Inc. This sylibus is just as detailed in training as sylibus' used in training pilots to get their pilots certificate in a fixed wing or helicopter.

David is training in a AAI Mod RAF and will be also using our SparrowHawk in two or three weeks in the flight training. Weather is still good for training or introductory training flights. David is also available for bi-annuals and able to train for the LSA certificate. A lot of our area to the North is controlled airspace but we have mostly open farm fields South of our training airport which is great for LSA training.
