I had a FANTASTIC weekend flying a SparrowHawk with super instructor, Steve McGowan, in Buckeye, AZ. Although I have almost 900 hours of fixed wing time, 300+ hours of ultralight, and 1 hour in an RAF, I have never experienced the thrill of flying that I did this weekend. For you who have not flown the SparrowHawk with someone that can demonstrate its capabilities, you need to do it. Steve showed me some maneuvers that were far more agile and fun than time I have flying aerobatics in a Yak-52 (not that we were performing aerobatics – just that they were totally different for a FW pilot and a lot more fun). Pics 1 & 2 - Steve and me on a cross country.

Last time a saw Steve, he had a beard. More importantly, you have two pictures that will eventually be historicaly significant: water in the Salt River!!

Yep there are lotts of areas here now that are flooded,, The area Clff Rock posted is run-off from the mountains. Usually it's dry desert,, Beautiful country to fly around..
You wouldn't believe some of the area names here.. "HellsAPoppin" for instance. And Yes Jim Mayfield has me wearing a few more clothes than I'm use to.
Boo has discovered Jack-A-Lope Rabbits, He's fast but they are awsum.

Here is a link I was sent by Tom Milton. It's a site that a Sparrow Hawk builder posted.
