How does this sie exist???

While I am a newbee and don't quite understand, can anyone tell me how this site exists? There is no advertising, which I enjoy it's absence, but how do you finance this? It does cost time and money to keep this going how can I help to keep this going???

The site exists due to the hard work of dedicated people. Todd takes care of it and does a wonderful job doing it.
You can donate to the site to help pay the expenses to keep it going.See the user CP area for that.
The rest of the site is the people...
The people here are intelligent, passionate, opinionated (to put it politely), sometimes tough, sometimes tender, but all decent people, who share a hobby, a dream, or just pass the time here.
There is a wealth of knowlege and experience here that can't be paid for by ads. It is a great thing that we don't have to rely on pop-ups or the like to keep the forum going.
You get what you give from this place, and speaking for myself I've gotten a great education from these folks while giving what little I can. I hope as my knowledge and experience grows I'll be able to give some more back.
To that end IMHO there is none better.

Thanks for your support of the forum. The donations from people like yourself and Michael (JerseyWing) keep this forum going. So far the donations have covered the costs for software and hosting plus we've had some left over to give away a few t-shirts for promotions etc..
