what adjustments would a 260 lb pilot make to a gyrobee if trying to be 103 legal. 503dcdi/??26ft dragon wings/?slightly taller mast??

I've flown mine with a measured 250 lbs in the seat. The rate of climb was off slightly but not that much. I personally wouldn't change anything. You might want to add 6" to your hub bar. Maybe Ron will weight in on this one. He's got some Bee time and he's on the north side of 220 if I remember right. Ralph Taggart has said many times that he flew his Bee when he weighed slightly under 250 with a 447 and it performed just fine.

Yes I have flown one with both a 447 and 503 and the 447 was ok, the 503 was better. If you weight 260 you better stick to the 503 or maybe even look at the Hirth 2706 which is 65 HP at the weight of the 503. You shouldn't need longer blades or other mods, just more HP. Keep the extras to a minimum, which you will have to do to stay 103 anyway....
